Venezia, Italy

 >>> Adios Spain, Ciao Venice! <<<

Beautiful - runner up for happiest place on earth.  Venice looks like a fake fairy tale land.

The trip started off interesting.  We refused to pay for a bag check, for a third time, KNOWING our bags would fit in the overhead.  However, knowing Ryanair, if our bag didn't fit in their little box, we would have to may A LOT extra for them to check it.  So we layered up to ensure our bags fit.  The airport in Ibiza was about 90 degrees.  We had about 8 shirts on and jackets and sweaters on top of that.  Everyone thought we were crazy!

Repacking

Arriving in Italy!

Trying to find our way to our first hostel!

We had to take the bus 2 times cause we missed our stop.  The driver didn't understand our problem or where we wanted to get off, but I wasn't mad about the view.

>>> Getting lost and exploring Venice <<<

mmm pistachio and chocolate gelato!

Giant yummy cookies!

Here we are leaving for island tour of Murano (glass blowing island), Torcello (beautiful ruins and landscape), and Burano (most colorful place, lots of pastries, and lots of lace)

Arriving to the island of Murano.

Here we stood in a furnace of a room and watched people who have studied glass for 20 years blow flowers and horses in a matter of minutes.

Arriving to the island of Torcello.

Here we found beautiful vineyards, secret gardens, and old churches.

She  A L W A Y S  sleeps during the best parts!?

One of the many downfalls of not enjoying coffee.

Burano!

Filled with colorful lace shops where you can watch older women hand make these intricate lace designs.  There were also many pastry shops where I enjoyed a lemon and coconut bar.  I wanted nutella crepes and gelato too, but you can't have it ALLLL...

Beautiful sunset wishing us a lovely final evening in Italy.

Beautiful train ride leaving Italy.
